Trauma Therapy & EMDR for Attachment Wounds, Emotional Neglect & Anxiety
Healing past experiences so you can feel safer, more connected, and more at home in yourself.
Trauma isn’t always about one obvious event. For many high functioning adults, it shows up quietly — in self-doubt, people pleasing, emotional shutdown, or a nervous system that never fully feels at ease.
You may resonate with this work if:
You grew up feeling unseen, unheard, or emotionally unsupported
You learned to stay “easy,” independent, or responsible to keep the peace
You struggle with anxiety, a harsh inner critic, or chronic self doubt
You notice recurring relationship patterns you want to understand and change
Even if your life looks stable on the outside, something inside may feel unresolved or heavy.
A Trauma Informed Approach to Healing
Many of the ways you learned to cope — being highly independent, emotionally guarded, perfectionistic, or deeply attuned to others — once helped you get through difficult environments.
Now, those same strategies may be making it harder to feel fully safe, connected, or present.
Trauma therapy isn’t about fixing you. It’s about understanding how your nervous system learned to protect you — and helping those protective patterns soften when they no longer need to work so hard.
How We Work Together
Trauma therapy at Heal & Grow is collaborative, paced, and grounded in nervous system safety. Together we may:
Process past experiences that still feel emotionally charged
Work with anxiety, shame, or inner critic patterns in a way that builds understanding rather than judgment
Strengthen emotional regulation so your body feels steadier and more supported
Explore attachment and relational patterns that shape how you connect
This isn’t about forcing change. It’s about creating enough safety and clarity for new responses to become possible.
How EMDR & Parts Work Support Trauma Healing
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel stuck in the present.
Parts work recognizes that different parts of you developed at different times to protect you. Rather than pushing them away, we work with them— building understanding, integration, and compassion.
