Trauma Therapy & EMDR
Healing past experiences so you can feel safer, more connected, and more at home in yourself.
Trauma Therapy for Attachment Wounds & Emotional Neglect
Trauma isn’t always about one obvious event. For many high-functioning adults, it shows up quietly — in self-doubt, people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, or a nervous system that never fully feels at ease.
You may resonate with this work if:
You grew up feeling unseen, unheard, or emotionally unsupported
You learned to stay “easy,” independent, or responsible to keep the peace
You struggle with anxiety, a harsh inner critic, or chronic self-doubt
You find it hard to trust others — or yourself
You notice patterns in relationships that you want to understand and change
For some, these patterns become more noticeable during pregnancy or postpartum, when old wounds or fears about repeating the past resurface.
Even if your life looks stable on the outside, something inside may feel unresolved or heavy.
A Trauma Informed Approach to Healing
Trauma responses are not signs of weakness— they’re signs of adaptation.
When we experience emotional neglect, attachment wounds, or chronic stress early in life, the nervous system learns how to protect us. You may have become hyper independent, emotionally guarded, perfectionistic, or highly attuned to others’ needs.
These strategies once helped you cope.
Now, they may be keeping you from feeling truly safe, connected, or present.
You are not broken. Your system has been doing its best— and healing is possible.
How We Work Together in Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy at Heal & Grow is collaborative, paced, and grounded in nervous-system safety.
Together we may:
Gently process past experiences that still feel emotionally charged
Work with anxiety, shame, or inner-critic patterns through a compassionate lens
Build emotional regulation so your body feels steadier and more supported
Explore attachment and relational patterns that shape how you connect
Strengthen self-trust and internal safety
Many clients who explore trauma therapy are also navigating cyclebreaker therapy for anxiety and patterns that developed over time.
This work isn’t about reliving the past — it’s about changing how it lives in you now.
How EMDR & Parts Work Support Trauma Healing
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel overwhelming or stuck in the present.
Parts work and inner child approaches recognize that different parts of you developed to survive at different times. Rather than pushing them away, we work with them— building understanding, integration, and self compassion.
These approaches can help you feel:
Less reactive
More emotionally grounded
More connected to yourself and others
Experience & Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with advanced training in trauma-informed care, EMDR, attachment based therapy, and parts work. My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally attuned— never rushed or prescriptive.
Healing is not about fixing yourself.
It’s about reconnecting with the parts of you that learned to survive— and helping them feel safe enough to rest.
Trauma therapy may be a good fit if you:
Want to understand the roots of anxiety, shame, or relational patterns
Are open to trauma informed, depth oriented therapy
Value pacing, collaboration, and nervous system safety
It may not be the best fit if you’re seeking quick fixes or surface level tools only.
